Whole Foods in Sandy Springs

My husband's country club uses White Oak Pastures beef for their burgers and chop steaks. You can buy this outstanding, local, grass-fed beef, too. Whole Foods is featuring White Oak Pastures for only a buck a burger, this Friday ONLY -- September 3rd! They are also grilling out that afternoon and selling cooked burgers for a $1! Yum!

There is a terrific video of Chef Kevin Gillespie on a recent visit to White Oak Pastures in Bluffton, GA on their website. The video, tons of recipes (Bahn Mi or apple cheddar burgers, anyone?) and cooking tips, plus the scoop on why grass-fed is so great, are all available here: Grass-fed Beef. And remember - please, don’t over-cook the beef!

Supper Club provides diners the pleasure of enjoying a meal at some of Atlanta’s hottest restaurants while supporting hunger relief. Each month a different restaurant serves as host, and 20 percent of the evening’s proceeds benefits Atlanta’s Table, the prepared food rescue project of the Food Bank.

Supper Club was created in the late 1990s to celebrate the partnership between Atlanta’s Table and Atlanta’s hospitality community. Atlanta’s Table, a project of the Food Bank, provides approximately 40,000 pounds of prepared food for Atlanta’s hungry each month. With sponsorship from CBS Atlanta, Ethic Inc., Jezebel magazine, and 92.9 davefm, Atlanta’s Table Supper Club generates funds to ensure continued operations of the project.
